King Willem-Alexander performed the official opening of the Brainport Industries Campus on Rijtackerweg, near Eindhoven Airport, at 12:15 p.m. Thursday. The king unveiled a sculpture by Eindhoven artist Juul Rameau.
That depicts the creative brain, with a kind of cotyledon and fanning seeds in the form synopsis, nerve cells making new connections, symbolic of the BIC. Those nerves are depicted with steel studs on the access route to BIC. The king placed a final large coin with his initials on it. Those were milled in by a robot .
